The CLI Lifeboat crews came together and volunteered their time to do a complete makeover of the Windward 30 sailboat. Now complete, it is offered for sale at $22000 (reduced from $25000). Viewing available in Ladner, current survey (November 2023) available for a $25.00 donation to CLI. Sale proceeds will go to the Canadian Lifeboat Institute, a not-for-profit, nationally registered charitable marine search and rescue organization dedicated to saving lives and property at sea.
1980 WINDWARD 30: 9.3m monohull sailboat designed by Richard D. Carlson and built by Windward Marine of Richmond B.C. Since 1970, 15 units have been built. The Windward 30 is a heavy sailboat and a good performer, it is stable and is best suited as a coastal cruiser … but, a very capable racer .. as its sistership – Pitoraq – is a 1979 Windward 30 overall winner of the 2017 Vancouver Island Racing Series.
